Australia: Speech Pathologist — SPA & CPSP Pathway

Speech Pathology is a self-regulated profession in Australia. To practice and access the Medicare provider network, clinicians must hold the Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) credential from Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). Internationally trained clinicians must undergo a rigorous skills assessment to prove their competency matches the Australian 'Professional Standards.' This pathway involves a detailed portfolio review of academic and clinical evidence, ensuring practitioners can deliver safe, evidence-based care across the lifespan.
